She made it

Kelli arrived today. My master plan to use the MCI card from a pay phone at the airport to call me on my cell phone didn't work. However, her having blue eyes did -- an apparently smitten young man who spoke English gladly let her use his mobile phone to call me. I arrived at L'Etoile as the first people were getting off her bus.

She's a little tired, but hanging in there well. I've shown her a bit of the neighborhood -- we took the Metro from l'Etoile to Mott Picquet-Grenelle station and walked past the Champs du Mars and the Ecole Militaire to our apartment, and after lunch, through the shopping area nearby. I found an apron so I can cook with a little more security for my suit pants now.

That's all for now. Just want everyone to know she safely transited the Atlantic, the French Customs and Immigration, and the bus from DeGaulle Airport.
